The Difference an Inch Can Make by Karen Farnsworth

I was rocksteady this morning.
Then with staccato snips she sent me on a roll a coaster.
The whiplash turn from anger, heading toward the looming wall of regret, and into the purple tunnel of bruised self esteem.
Somehow I had told the woman who cuts my hair that I don’t care what I look like.
